I’m Raquel, the heart and hands behind Deeply Rooted Crafts & Things. I am a wife to my amazing and supportive husband, a proud mom to three amazing adult children and two fur babies, and I have been a registered nurse for the last 28 years. I've been through many transitions in life and have found crafting to be therapeutic for me. Deeply Rooted Crafts & Things was born out of my belief that creativity is for everyone—even those who've never considered themselves to be “crafty.” In the same way, creativity and craftsmanship have brought me joy, healing, and fulfillment; I hope those who experience this community will have the chance to do the same.

At Deeply Rooted Crafts & Things, we believe creativity is for everyone. Our mission is to cultivate a welcoming community where individuals—especially those who never saw themselves as “crafty”—can discover the joy and power of creativity. Rooted in diversity and connection, we create spaces where people from all backgrounds and generations can come together, learn, and feel at home. Through our workshops and handcrafted goods, we strive to inspire confidence, spark new passions, and provide a space where creativity becomes a form of self-care, self-expression, and empowerment. What started as a personal journey of healing and renewal has grown into a movement to help others realize that something beautiful can come from within them too.
